Our Story
2014 - Jonathan joins AlayaCare
In 2014, Jonathan took his first steps at AlayaCare, marking the start of a journey rich in learning and significant contributions.
2016 - Marc-André joins AlayaCare
In 2016, Marc-André joined the AlayaCare team, bringing a passion for technology and a strategic vision. His arrival coincided with a period of rapid growth for the platform.
2016 - 2021
Jonathan and Marc-André lead AlayaCare's engineering team from about 15 people to over 180.
2021 - 2022
Jonathan leads the data team through technology transformations while Marc-André works on bringing AlayaCare's marketplace solution to life
2022 - 2024
Jonathan goes back to its roots as Principal Data Scientist working on generative AI solutions. Marc-André caries marketplace to production.
2023 - Launch of Daya Labs
With nearly a decade of experience and expertise gained at AlayaCare, Jonathan and Marc-André founded Daya Labs.
2024 - First clients and AlayaCare partnership
Daya Labs reached a key milestone by welcoming its first clients and formalizing an official partnership with AlayaCare.

Over the past ten years in the software industry, I have progressed from my beginnings as a developer to taking on leadership roles—a journey that has been both challenging and rewarding. My experience spans a wide range—from revitalizing existing systems to designing and developing new products. I thrive on solving real problems with robust solutions, while remaining agile enough to adapt to the changing needs of businesses.
My professional journey began outside the tech world, rooted in an entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on experience. From launching a small business during my studies to participating in the family construction business, these early experiences refined my approach to problem-solving and innovation.
The hands-on experience has been crucial, allowing me to combine my technical skills with a deep understanding of business challenges. Driven by my curiosity, I quickly evolved from an operational role on the ground to a management role. This transition ignited my passion for technology and its ability to deliver innovative and effective solutions.
Throughout my career, I have embraced every challenge and opportunity with a deep commitment to continuous learning and both personal and professional growth. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to mentor and guide my team, empowering those around me to reach their full potential. My role goes beyond technical advising; it is about fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Over the past decade, I have been at the forefront of optimization and artificial intelligence, dedicating my career to pushing boundaries in these dynamic fields. My journey is marked by substantial contributions, including two personal patents in machine learning and a significant role as co-inventor on another, demonstrating my innovative spirit and technical prowess.
With over five years of leadership experience as VP of Engineering and Data, I have guided and inspired teams of over 180 professionals, driving significant advancements and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. My corporate career culminated in the role of Principal Data Scientist, a position that underscored my deep expertise and strategic perspective.
My professional journey has been greatly influenced by my work in the healthcare sector over the past nine years, where I applied my skills to tackle complex challenges. Prior to that, my five years in the retail sector provided me with a diverse range of experiences, further enriching my understanding of data-driven solutions across various industries.
Now, moving beyond the corporate sphere, I am committed to using my experience and in-depth knowledge to create impactful solutions and to mentor the next generation of innovators in AI and data science.
